Clustering using nonhierarchical methods

Name Clustering using nonhierarchical methods
Type Bachelor
Status Assigned
Description

Nonhierarchical clustering methods, that provide a wide range of applications from economy to medicine, assign observations to a given number of clusters. The well-known ones are k-means clustering, fuzzy clustering or Kohonen maps (so called self organizing maps). Aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce these methods in a comprehensive form, perform their comparison and apply them for analysis of a chosen real problem.
