In 1948, the first study program of Natural Science was established at the Philosophical Faculty of our University. Two years later, the Department of mathematics, physics, and chemistry was founded. The Faculty of Science was establised in 1962 and in 1996 our department changed its name to its current form: The Department of mathematical analysis and applications of mathematics.
Currently, the department is home to more then 20 lecturers and researchers wich makes it one of the biggest mathematical departments in our country.
Our department guarantees several study branches of bachelor, master, and doctor studies. For the list of programs, click here.
The main research activities of our department focus on differential equations, dynamical systems, decision theory, numerical mathematics and optimization, and mathematical and statistical modeling. For more information about research click here.
